

The R. G. Collingwood Prize is awarded annually in recognition of exceptional academic achievement by a graduate student of Pembroke College. Robin George Collingwood was a Fellow of the College from 1912 to 1935. He was tutor in philosophy, a leading archaeologist of Roman Britain and wrote on the philosophy of nature, art and 'The Idea of History'. The R. G. Collingwood Prize shall be awarded at the MCR's Annual Celebration Dinner, held in Trinity Term of each year.
Up to two Collingwood Prizes shall be awarded to post-graduate students of Pembroke College who fulfil some or all of the following criteria:
Any member of the college may nominate candidates for the award by writing to the Dean of Graduates with a concise summary of the candidate's suitability for the prize. The closing date for nominations is Friday, 7th Week, Trinity Term.
A committee consisting of the Master, the Dean of Graduates, and three fellows of the college, chosen to reflect a range of disciplines, shall select the prize winner/s.
