"It's nearly impossible to resist the Pembroke MCR's charm, the friendliness of its students, and the perfect unparalleled happiness afforded by its whiskey collection."
Danielle Rose Ivory - ex-MCR Secretary and winner of the 2007 W.H. Pembroke Prize for service to the community
Socially, Pembroke Graduate life can be very busy. graduate bops (costumed dance parties), BBQ’s and rambles join the occasional extravagant formal dinner in true Oxford style. Equally there are many more intimate gatherings, from the exchange dinners with other colleges to theatre outings, punting excursions and the renowned Pembroke soirees.
A new term card is distributed at the start of each term, and it can then be found online. Events are also publicised nearer the time on posters around college. For some events, you will be asked to sign up in advance so we can gauge what sort of number to cater for — the sign-up sheets are usually found on the notice board in the Blue Room, and occasionally you will be able to sign in via e-mail. Pembroke events tend to be very well attended so book early.
