STRENGTH ON THE COMMITTEE
Well… I have the bar key ☺, the benefits of that are pretty obvious. Also, I will be responsible for organizing parties, movie nights and other fun events, so do let me know if you have any ideas!

WHY PEMBROKE?
It’s a very unpretentious college, not intimidating at all… very friendly. We party quite a lot, too ☺. It’s a great place to unwind and get away from department/course-related stress.

FAVOURITE OXFORD MOMENT SO FAR?
Dressing up as “plastic” for the MCR “P-Party” and dancing the night away with protists, proletarians, prisoners, pedophile priests, and ‘Pembroke students’. Looking forward to doing it again this coming freshers’ week!

NUMBER ONE TIP FOR FRESHERS
Oxford can be very overwhelming work-wise, so it’s really important to remember to do whatever relaxes you. In my first term, I fell into this rut where I pretty much locked myself into my room and focused only on studying. This kind of strategy is bound to backfire and you should definitely try to do more than just schoolwork. The MCR is generally a great place to chill and our activities provide a great opportunity to get your mind off of studying! Also, make sure you go to Freshers’ Fair – there is an amazing array of societies for you to join!
