Being a Malaysian Chinese and having travelled to different Western countries, I know how it feels to suffer from culture shock. If anyone needs advice on how to cope with it, I will try my best to help so that everyone can enjoy their experience in Pembroke.
WHY PEMBROKE?
Because it is a friendly college and help is always readily given if asked. Although it is a relatively small college, there is a college community spirit in everyone college member.
FAVOURITE OXFORD MOMENT SO FAR?
When it snowed in April (it was supposed to be spring)! It was my first snow in Oxford. I have never seen Oxford so beautiful and so lively. It was as if everyone dropped all their Sunday plans to enjoy the snow.
NUMBER ONE TIP FOR FRESHERS
Get involved in college life because this is what Oxford is about. It is a wonderful chance to know people from around the world. Make ‘work hard, play hard’ your motto!
