In these pages you will find a sketch of the Pembroke College Post-graduate community (known as the MCR) written by us: the members. We have tried to outline some of the distinctive features of Pembroke College, and have interspersed that sketch with reflections and advice from current graduate students. The Pembroke experience is an intense and challenging one, but it is an experience hosted by an inspiring community. We pride ourselves on our cultural diversity and our belief in working and playing hard. I think that Pembroke has all the benefits of an old Oxford-style stone college with the added benefits of being a small, friendly, forward-thinking community.
